I Need Some Help

Someone, please someone, convince me not to get Hitch from On Demand. Really, please.

Can anyone tell me where I placed my attention span? I get the feeling that I'm going to be needing it again in a couple of weeks, and I'm not sure I've really, confidently known where it was since 2001.

Anyone know a group of about 7-10 other people who want to split a season ticket package for the Note this year?

Does anyone know how many viewings of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is officially too much? Maybe I should just turn it on for the closing credits with the Marauder's Map and the John Williams music. Oh, and the scene where Hermione whacks away Harry's hand when he tries to grab the time turner.

What is the record for most months in a row with a different insurance plan? August will be 3, and September will make 4. Good lord willin' and the creek don't rise, that'll be the last for a while.

What will it take to get HBO to have longer seasons for their shows? I'd rather watch The Wire, Deadwood, and Entourage than just about anything else. Commercials? Do it (says the guy with TiVo)!

I need to know where on the 1-10 scale of guilty pleasures TiVoing Days of Our Lives rates?

Can someone guarantee me that Starbuck is going to actually be in the next episode of Battlestar? Anybody? More Starbuck, less boring ass drug swilling president. I just want to sleep when she is on the screen. Her nancy little aid could take a bullet too.

Ok, thanks.

Mischief Managed. Nox.

Can't help you there. I watched Hitch last night and actually liked it...

Sorry.

(1) Hitch is not even a guilty pleasure. It would be considered simply banal, and you'd hate yourself for it.
(2) Sorry... what were you saying?
(3,4,5) Pass
(6) Learned much from England did HBO. Where quality trumps quantity. Give the writers time to maintain quailty (c.f. Fawlty Towers), and (yet to be proven if an American network can do this) let great shows die young, not run into the ground for 7 seasons till we no longer care.
(7) One position lower than paying for Hitch.
(8) See (6) above. No Starbuck is fine if there was no Starbuck story to tell! President is fine by me, but really works best when Adama is involved. If there is any character I want blasted out the airlock, it is Tighe's wife.

(1) I TiVoed The Aviator this weekend. If it was a mistake, it was a long mistake.

(2,3,4) Pass

(5) I've been on three this year, and I was stuck with COBRA because my first employer this year didn't fork over insurnace for the first 90 days. Bastards.

(6) What the Aussie said. Quality trumps quantity, which is why I know Lost will eventually suck because ABC will milk that teat until it's nipple bleeds. This is also why I was nervous when BSG was given 20 episodes this season.

(7) Why are you watching those stupid NBC soaps? My family observes a strict schedule of The Young & The Restless then One Life to Live. No robots, clones, or former Real World castmembers there!

(8) Starbuck and Helo had hot, hot sex in her hot, hot Not-A-Hummer. All the ladies (and Gaeta) love Helo.

1) Please no, that will go on my reputation too.

2) It's just like riding a bike.

3) Um, I hope you do. I can't imagine how expensive one would be if we did it on our own.

4) There is not a number representing "too many" in this case.

5) Whatever it is, we're gunning for it.

6) I, like AA, fear this would make them suck.

7) 10

8) Finally finished that last episode without going to sleep. Normally I like the show just fine, but OMGWTFBBQ there was waaaay too little going on there last night. That episode could have quite effectively been 30 minutes long.

Um, "last night" in #8 being a reference to when I watched BG. Now that I'm accustomed to TiVo, I don't really know or care when things actually come on anymore.

Starbuck? What about more boomer?
Actually I like how the last two episodes have barely moved the season's plot along at all but I still am totally into every line and every scene. I love it and I love what'sherface as the President.

I like the 16 episode format actually because the writting has less fluff and more substance. I don't think the cure is more episodes but rather more shows in that format so that once one you like is done another can start up.

1) My opinion doesn't count. I watched it on a plane but had an airsick bag in front of me.

2) The attention span isn't the problem. It's bringing bad work habits into the new workplace. Unlearn what you have learned...

3) Not sure what that is. Too tired and lazy to follow the link.

4) Sadly, I have yet to see. My wife hates movies.

5) Enough to send some folks to prison? Isn't it worth it at that point?

6) Don't have HBO but I've heard they're short. That's what you get for paying for TV.

7) Ugh. There are 20 All My Children episodes on my Tivo right now. Remind me to tell you all about the bet with my wife. Note; I do NOT do soaps.

8) I hate the President. I hate her more than the cylons at this moment. I suppose that's a good thing. Starbuck is kind of an aimless character right now. But she's plucky, and I hear that's good.

You're welcome.

1.) Avoid Will Smith at all costs.

2.) All our attention spans are... sorry, can't remember what I was gonna say.

4.) I was more than pleasantly surprised how dark that movie was. There is no limit.

5.) It would take James Gandolfini (Sopranos) not being such a primiadonna.

6.) Twelve.

7.) The Prez is alright! The next ep is really Starbuck heavy apparently. I was glad they didn't do the 24 thing and have her drive for an hour, or do a two-hour journey in 20 mins. A publicity still online shows her looking down her pants (I kid you not). Brad, you better be in on Friday night...

BTW I thought "last night's" was the best yet. #2 was the yawner for me.

TheGirard is not contageous...at least not anymore. The Mucinex worked like a charm. Wait, isn't that what you were talking about...my cold, etc. Dude, I found the microwavable pork rinds that come in a package like microwavable popcorn. I miss playing puerto rico, we should get together and play sometime before your trek to the spire thingy. Does chuck still have gamenight? Charlie, here comes the duece, when you speak of me, speak well. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
